Temporary CSR to HR manager
At 22, I began my professional career as a Temporary Customer Service Representative. At 30 I found myself as Manager in HR and approaching my 8-year work anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, I am sharing eight lessons I've learned throughout my twenties:
✨ Believe in Your Capability: Your youth and inexperience might be challenged, but self-belief and competence are key.
✨ Take Ownership of Mistakes: Mistakes are inevitable. What matters is taking responsibility and making things right.
✨ Stay Flexible: It’s important to have goals but be open to new opportunities that may arise unexpectedly.
✨ Accept Not Everyone Will Like You: Focus on constructive feedback and don’t let others’ negativity influence your self-worth. Chew the meat, spit out the bones.
✨ Seek Help When Needed: Good leaders appreciate honesty about needing assistance. If stuck, don’t hesitate to ask for help.
✨ Distinguish Challenges from Toxicity: Recognize the difference between a tough period and a truly toxic environment. Invest in growing where you are.
✨ Networking is Important: Approach interactions with authenticity and genuine interest. Don’t seek connections just to serve your immediate needs.
✨ Embrace Learning: Always stay humble and open to new knowledge, regardless of your experience or credentials.
